Seeking an Executive Director
Part-Time 20 hours/week opportunity in Coupeville at the Central Whidbey Chamber of Commerce
Seeking an Executive Director. With a membership base of 180+, the Executive Director (ED) handles all aspects of membership, including seeking out new members, enhancing relationships with existing members, and looking for opportunities to bring visibility via print, radio, Internet and special events.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for adherence to all policies & procedures, keeping the Board abreast of all matters.
The ED plans and executes a variety of special events throughout the year, including special events such as the Memorial Day Parade as well as working with the Board on monthly membership meetings, joint functions with other local Chambers, as well as other networking events and after-hours events.
The ED provides oversight to the Chamber's part-time VIC Volunteer Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will have a keen insight as to how to grow the existing Central Whidbey area membership. The candidate will need to have excellent written, verbal and Internet communication skills, as well as some skills in maintaining the membership data base and website maintenance, with a keen eye toward detail and the ability to handle multiple projects as he/she takes care of the day-to-day operations of a busy Chamber office.
Flexibility in schedule is a must with some meetings and events falling outside regular business hours.
